A motorcycle costs approximately $1000.00. This includes a carrier on the back for the Bibles or books. This will increase the amount of work that the workers are able to do as they share the Three Angel's Message, by 10 x's. Because of the tremendous amount of time that they will save when walking, or using bicycles on the muddy, bumpy roads that are sometimes impassable for a bicycle.
There are also requests for clinics. Some areas are hours from the nearest hospital. Services must be paid for, before they are provided at the local hospitals. Many people wait until it is too late, and die. We have helped supply herbs to treat malaria, diabetes, TB, and other illnesses. One lady has been trained to help deliver babies. As soon as the land agreement is completed and construction begins at the school in Ibencho for additional classrooms and a dormitory for the orphans, we will also build a 3 room clinic. The medical missionary work must continue to expand, to teach people how to live a healthy, spiritual life.

Bicycles are a help to the workers and pastors as they travel about to teach the gospel of the love of Jesus for each person. The roads are filled with pot holes and mud, but a bicycle helps them to travel more than twice as fast. And for the first time, we purchaed 7 motorcycles at a very good price, to help some of the workers travel to places that it may take them days to arrive at, when walking or using a bicycle.
These Bible workers, are showing their motorcycles that were purchased in November. There are so many areas that they are unable to go on their bicycles, we are praying that this will be a blessing to the work.

Julie is testing a patient's blood pressure. She traveled to Kisii to receive training. We are in need of a clinic building where she can work. They are looking for a small piece of land at a central location, where she would be able to help the most people. She is training some other ladies to help her in the clinic.

There are many requests for PA systems. These are run from a 12 volt battery, or from a solar panel. They put the speakers outside, and then preach to the entire community! They are also used in villages and on street corners for preaching. A PA system with a horn speaker, 120 watt amplifier, 2 microphones, one box speaker, and the battery, costs approximately $675.00. A solar panel with the wire and an inverter costs approximately $400.00. The solar is a big help since it will save time and money for carrying a battery to a village to be charged. It will also supply lighting on a limited basis, inside the church.
They are requesting many more books in their language. We have been able to print "Desire of Ages," "Steps to Christ," and "Great Controversy" in Swahili. "Christ Object Lessons" and "Ministry of Healing" have also been recently printed in Swahili. We are raising funds to print "Patriarchs and Prophets" also in Swahili. In Ghana, we have printed "Steps to Christ" in the Twi language. "Desire of Ages" was translated into the "Twi" language, and we are advised as of Dec. 15, 2008, they are at the printers. This will be the first available copy of "Deisre of Ages" in their language in Ghana. We now have requests for these books in Nigeria, but we do not have the funds at present to assist.
